On September 2006, US President Bush signed into law the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, which makes it illegal for online gambling sites to accept funds and bets from the United States if the underlying gambling activity defies existing state, federal or tribal law. It’s important to understand that this new legislation does not make online gambling illegal in the USA. But it’s aimed at blocking financial transactions linked to gambling.
